Resourceful Education Foundation Financial Help To Underprivileged Students

(24-11-2019) The Resourceful Education Foundation, NGO based in Wakad, Pune has embraced 150 underprivileged students and looks to address their education fee of Rs. 2614793 through the support of individual sponsors and conscious corporates.

Mr. Amarpal Singh, Founder of the Resourceful Education Foundation (REF) was pleased to see the future of these deserving students being secured through higher education.

Mr. Singh, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore’s dream of giving back to society was realized through REF, NGO, dedicated to the social development of society through education for all. He plans to spread this service pan India helping the underprivileged students gain knowledge and wisdom to boost the economy of our country through sound education.

“We are looking to grow and change the lives of underprivileged students in thousands and more. We have already extended support to over 150 students and looking forward to reaching out to more in the months ahead,” said Mr. Singh on an optimistic note.

 Resourceful Education Foundation (REF), an NGO incorporated on April 23, 2018, till date, has helped underprivileged students with the financial aid of Rs 2614793. The REF will further fund more underprivileged students on completion of certain modalities by the education institutes under their purview.

REF has certain parameters for selecting eligible underprivileged students. After obtaining documents like income proof, Aadhaar card, 12th Std. the mark sheet and their past academic history, students are shortlisted at REF office based at Wakad, Pune.

There are two-layer of screening done of students along with their parents or guardians. The sponsorship for the deserving underprivileged student thereafter is decided by Mr. Singh, Founder of REF after a one-on-one interview with the students.

Resourceful Education Foundation (REF) NGO, is registered under Section 8 of The Companies Act, 2013 with CIN: U85200PN2018PTC176205 to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students on completion of their 12 Std.

The task of getting sponsors is a tedious job that is meticulously executed by REF professionals.

The NGO cannot stand on its own and relies on support only from individual donors and volunteers but in addition to this, it also requires the corporates to showcase their social responsibility under CSR.

Resourceful Education Foundation (REF) NGO, has met challenges catching up with big corporates and at the same time adhering to deadlines extending monetary support to the underprivileged students.

“We have been continuously striving to assist more underprivileged students and guide them to emerge as responsible citizens of our country,” said Mr. Singh.

 “We can comprehend with the situation these underprivileged students went through or experienced. My education journey too was a struggle which I overcame with grace and dignity only because of proper education,” said Dr. Rotash Kanwar, Advisory Committee of REF and Ex-Director of Health Services, Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata.

Dr. Kanwar is very active in the NGO service and plays a vital role in the screening of eligible underprivileged students.

NGOs alone cannot serve the society on their own and hence corporates need to play their vital role in the upliftment of the underprivileged students.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the funding and grants process under which NGOs can get financial and other support from the corporate sector.

More than 90 percent of funding for underprivileged student’s welfare projects comes from the corporate sector.

REF, is an NGO for CSR with a widespread presence in rural-urban slums of Maharashtra. REF is looking to impact the lives of more than 1000 underprivileged students in the villages and urban slums spread across Maharashtra.

Being only a little over a year old, REF has already been able to fund the underprivileged students through our network. REF partners are directly involved in welfare projects and are poised to emerge as one of the best NGOs for CSR in India.

“We not only ensure that students get financial aid for further studies but also guide and counsel them during the study period,” informed Mr. Singh.

“We like to see more students succeed in life and that means a successful and educated India,” echoed Mr. Singh.

REF has touched the lives of 150 students to achieve their goals through sound education. REF endeavours to support needy students to obtain higher education for an economically strong and educated India.
